The Cemetery lies just South of the town of Valkenswaard, near the village of Borkel. It is just North of the Belgium border. The road is called ´Luikerweg´ but also N69. The foundation “Erfgoed 40-45, gemeenten Valkenswaard en Waalre”, researches the history of World War II in the vicinity of Valkenswaard Holland. Researching the history of the Valkenswaard War Cemetery and the men buried there, is a side project of this foundation. The goal is to find as much as possible information of the men and hopefully also pictures. These pictures give the graves a face, which is much more personal than just the grave stone. This information is preserved and used to educate next generations. For this we always look for relatives of the soldiers who are able to help us to achieve our goals.
