Standing over the picturesque village of East Langdon is the church of St Augustine. A Norman church in origin with original north doorway, it was saved from neglect in the late nineteenth century. Inside you will find a high chancel and good stained glass windows. The Font stands in the narrow south aisle and is octagonal with ornate carvings set on a Victorian base. Outside you will find many ancient headstones, some that have been moved to the walled edges of the yard. A newer section is in a separate walled area to the rear of the church. A hidden gem in the Kent countryside that is well worth a visit.
