New section and old section, the latter is disrepair and gravestones missing from what I was told. When I visited, the gatekeeper's building beside the main gate of the New Section was being used to house homeless people, according to a resident. I also photographed the original gate to the Old Section which is now kept closed, and the entry behind a low stone wall leading from within the New Section. Just beyond this is a gravestone dedicated to the souls whose names are now lost as their gravestones in the Old Section, if they even had one, have since disappeared or are illegible. It reads, "May All Those Here Rest In Peace." I expect my Lochgelly ancestors are among the missing.
