Dancing is a neutral ground where two kindred spirits can meet, music is the catalyst and emotion guides the feet:
It can be a lot of fun and a source of great delight, we would often go through the programme and not miss a dance all night.
The sets were quite lively, the moves were simple to do,some of the dancers were terrible I was always pleased when I got back to you,
The waltzes were slower and graceful the energy required was less, balance and timing was essential it was a good way to show off a new dress.
I always liked the destiny it is a lively name, all the dancers move as one, their steps are exactly the same.
Our favourite was the modern waltz we hoped it would never end, our moments used to synchronize, our bodies used to blend.
We would glide around the floor to another world we would belong, one that could only be entered in a beauitful dance or song.
It bound our lives together the two of us moving as one, guiding each others footsteps sharing each others fun.
Holding each other gently contentment in our heart, disappointment when the music stopped and we had to draw apart.
Our dancing years belonged to our youth and slipped quickly into the past, they were the foundation on which our life was and I will cherish them to the last.
