Sacred to the memory of

Henry Noel Eden

Captain of the Royal Artillery, who died at sea, on his passage home from China, on the 9th July 1859,

From the effects of disease contracted whilst in active service in that country.

"Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God."

This monument is erected by the officers, non-commissioned officers and gunners of No. 4 Battery, 12th Brigade, R.A., as a mark of their love and esteem for him whilst living, and their deep grief at his early death.

The mortal remains of Major William Brooke, who died October 12th 1802, Aged 71.

Also of

Selina Irwin, daughter of the above Major William Brooke, and Relict of James Erwin Esq. of Devonshire Place, London.

One of the Directors of the honourable East India Company, who died October 1st, 1820, Aged 66.
