Description
Sally and Nathaniel, a War of 1812 veteran, had at least ten children: Joseph, Nathaniel Jr., Charles Massie, Ann, William, Sarah Massie, Mary, Virginia, Harriet and Josephine.
Per the 1850 Census, the year after Nathaniel died, she was living in Richmond as the head of the household with her son Nathaniel, a grocer, his wife Martha and daughter Mary; and Sally's children Sarah, Mary, Virginia, Harriet and Josephine.
She is buried near her husband and several of their children in the plot she owned.
