Description

Mary Ellen Davis - mother of Wade; Howard is her grandson & son of Jodie and Viola Davis; Jodie is buried at Evergreen Wilson, NC. \\ Sergeant Davis was a medic with the Medical Company, 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded while tending his wounded comrades in South Korea on May 23, 1951 and died of those wounds on May 26, 1951. Sergeant Davis was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Medical Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
