Molly L. Boedewig, 94, of Yorkville, IL, answered her Savior's call to come home on December 8, 2015.

She was born August 1, 1921, to James and Eleanor Durand of Aurora, IL. Molly married Ralph E. Boedewig on July 6, 1941, and they raised 5 children together. Molly made many friends in her lifetime while working in Aurora at the Pictorial Paper Packaging Corp., The Fruit Juice House, Paramount Theatre, Aurora Dry Goods Store and Greenwald's Jewelry Store.

She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Montgomery, a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Aurora Post 84 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Montgomery Post 7742. Her pastimes were reading, studying and handwriting out each chapter of her Bible, sending greeting cards, crocheting, playing cards and working puzzles.

Family survivors include her five daughters, Janice (Gerald) Iverson, Oswego, IL, Dorothy (James) Reichert, Medford, WI, Karen (George) Henry, Plano, IL, Debra (Howard) Springborn, Yorkville, IL, Beth (Richard) Waszkowiak, Montgomery, IL; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and all of her church family from St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Montgomery. Molly is also survived by her dear friends, Kay Woolmer (life-long pen pal), Kent, England, Abraham (Annie) Lot, Richard (Patricia) Bowron, Les (Diane) Kimball.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Ralph Boedewig; her parents, James & Eleanor Durand; her step-father, Arthur Reingardt; half-sister, Eleanor Wiskur; step-sisters, Marie Schildt and Joyce Reingardt; step-brother, Vernon Reingardt; her son-in-law, Jeffrey M. Franzen; her maternal grandparents, George (Amelia) Schildt; and paternal grandparents, Julius (Lulu) Durand from France.

Funeral will be held on Saturday, December 12, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 63 Fernwood Dr., Montgomery, IL 60543, with Pastor Peter Hoffman performing the service. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.-1 hour prior to the funeral service that day.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be appreciated to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Montgomery, IL.

Ralph E. Boedewig, 80, of Aurora, was called home to be with his Lord on Monday evening, November 26, 2001.

He was born May 18, 1921 in Aurora, the son of the late Albert and Anna (Schneider) Boedewig. Mr. Boedewig was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #84 and a life member of Montgomery V.F.W. Post #7452. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII. Ralph was an avid fisherman and loved to play Bingo. His pride and joy was his wife, family and his love for the Lord.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Molly, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage on July 6 of this year; five daughters, Janice (Gerald) Iverson of Oswego, Dorothy (James) Reichert of Pardeeville, WI, Karen (George) Henry of Plano, Debra (Jeffrey) Franzen of Oswego and Beth (Richard) Waszkowiak of Montgomery; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and his dearest friends, Abraham and Anna Lott of Aurora; a sister-in-law, Bernice Boedewig of Aurora; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and by six brothers.

Visitation for Mr. Boedewig will be on Thursday, November 29, 2001 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway (Route 25), Montgomery. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 30, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 11 Pembrooke Rd., Montgomery, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Peter Hoffman will officiate with interment in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Mr. Boedewig will lie in state at St. Luke's Lutheran Church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00. Due to family health problems the family has asked to please omit flowers. Contributions may be made to the family or in Mr. Boedewig's name to St. Luke's Lutheran Church or to the charity of the donors choice. For further information please call 897-1196.
