WILLIAM JOHN YOUNGHUSBAND LATE CHIEF OFFICER OF THE EAST INDIA SHIP PROTECTOR WHO PERISHED WITH 170 OF THE PASSENGERS AND CREW OFF THE SANDS HEAD, IN THE BAY OF BENGAL, DURING A HURRICANE ON THE 18TH OF OCTOBER 1838 AGED 33 YEARS. HE WAS A GALLANT OFFICER AND CHEERED THE CREW TO THE LAST,
