Mrs. Margaret M. Greyer, 96 of Sugar Grove passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 21, 1909 in Bristol Township the daughter of the late Anthony and Susan Harker.
Margaret was a long time member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church and was active member of the United Methodist Women. She also was a member of Sugar Grove Senior Citizen Club. Margaret was a Real Estate Broker for many years in the Sugar Grove and Fox Valley Area.
She is survived by her five children, Charlene (Ron) Reynolds of Geneva, IL, John (Betsy) Calkins of Miami, FL, William (Nancy) Greyer of Sugar Grove, Thomas (Barbara) Greyer of Sugar Grove and Muriel Greyer of Crystal Lake, IL; ten grandchildren, Dr. Sally Reynolds, Jeffrey Reynolds, Samuel Calkins, Joshua Calkins, Megan Calkins, Timothy Greyer, Diane Gregoire, Daniel Greyer, David Greyer and Bethany Greyer; ten great grandchildren; and her sister, Tressa Goodale of Mesa, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret's family would like to thank her friend and caregiver, Nataliya Zhilyayeva for her help and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Calkins; and her second husband, Ellis (Red) Gryer; her eight brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. from Sugar Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Good officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, April 8, 2005 at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove from 4-8 p.m. Interment will take place at Sugar Grove Cemetery.
