Partial obit: Josephine Agatha Brozycki, passed away on Tuesday, August 16,2011, at the Valley View Center for Nursing Care and Rehabilitation, after receiving Last Rites of the Roman Catholic Church, with several family members at her bedside. The eldest child of Boleslaw "Aleck" Nowicki & Anna Mardas Nowicki, she was born Aug 14,1909 in Great Meadows, NJ. Josie was the widow of Joseph J Brozycki, whom she married on June 18,1929. During her life, Josephine was a veritable dynamo, engaging in numerous endeavors, including onion farming, housecleaning and sewing garments at the Manhattan shirt factory in Middletown, NY, until moving to the farm homestead on Rte 17A in Goshen, where she worked at dairy farming alongside her husband until his death in 1984.
