Description
Joseph was the son of Samuel and Rachel Farrar and a bricklayer by trade. He married Mary Crawford in Leeds, England on 17 December 1835, and emigrated in 1841. They had nine children, several of whom are buried nearby. His first-born Emily died in 1837 and was buried in England.
He died of "brain fever", per Cemetery records. He is buried next to his wife in the plot he owned.
