Margaret McDowell Hair, wife of John Hair, died suddenly at 3 o'clock yesterday morning at her home in New Florence, in her sixty-seventh year. The cause of her death was heart failure. She was a native of Westmoreland County and was a sister of Mrs. Harriet Barnes, of No. 353 Market street, this city; Mrs. Marie Huston, of Braddock, and Robert McDowell who has been in Chicago for some years. John Hair and Miss Margaret McDowell were married in the vicinity of New Florence over fifty years ago. The deceased is survived by her husband and the following children: Stewart, Frank D., and Nelson, all married and living in New Florence; Mrs. Harriet Neil, of Irwin; Mrs. Sadie Cable, of Greensburg, and Miss Clara Hair, at home. Mrs. Harriet Barnes left on Way Passenger this afternoon for New Florence to attend the funeral, which will take place at 10 o'clock to-morrow morning. The remains will be laid to rest in the Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Hair was a life-long member of the Methodist Church.
