In Affectionate Remembrance Of James Buchanan who died at Gatehouse 18 May 1881 aged 32 years I was so long with pain opressed Which wore my strength away It made me long for endless rest Which never can decay. In peace he lived, in peace he died: his life was asked, but was denied. Also Of John, Elizabeth, Joseph, Maggie Lizzie, Joseph, & Catherine, his brothers and sisters, who died young. Jane his sister: wife of John Fleming who died 10 Sep 1884 aged 32 years. Also Joseph Buchanan his father who died 23 June 1889 aged 64 years. Elizabeth Campbell his mother who died 20 May 1906, aged 79 years.
