Description

Harry was a son of Albert Edward Lawrence & Mary Ann Mildon.

* His mother died a week after his birth.

* His father was born in London and had toured the world in the orchestra of the Symonds Operatic Company before settling in NZ and he was the conductor of the Ruahine Battalion Band and the choirmaster in Woodville. After the death of Mary Ann, Albert next married Ruth Radford in 1891. They had other daughters and settled in Gisborne where he was the choirmaster, conductor/bandmaster of the Gisborne City Band as he had been in Woodville.
