Bodisco and Edmund were the children of Edmund Sr. and his 2nd Wife Elizabeth K. Jarvis Bailey. Edmund had no children with his first wife Elizabeth Tompkins. He sired Bodisco and Edmund Jr. in his old age with his second wife. Sadly both children died of scarlet fever. It was said that Edmund died of a broken heart not long after the death of his children. His second wife moved to Alabama and remarried Fielding Lewis Ellis and had five more children.
