Dame Elizabeth Coton Lawes (Lawley)

Here resteth the body of Dame Elizabeth Lawes wife to Sir Nicholas Lawes late Captain General and Governor of Jamaica and Second Daughter to Sir Thomas Lawley of Cannall in the County of Stafford, Barronett.

She was first married to Thomas Coton of Coton-Bridge in the County of Warwick Esq. by which she had one son and by the said, Sir Nicholas Lawes, one daughter, both now living.

After a lingering sickness, she departed this life for a better in this city of Bath, on the 26th Day of October in the Year of our Lord, 1725 and in the Thirty-Sixth Year of her age.
