In memory of RUTZOU, FERDINAND born Odense Denmark, died 9-12-1889, aged 62 years. ELIZA McVICAR KEMP born Edinburgh Scotland. Interred in Albury, died 6-3-1888 aged 51 years. Married in Albury 1863, settled in Gooramadda on the Murray River, Proprietors of the Howlong Punt Hotel and the Punt for many years. Their six sons survived them, George Kemp, Robert Ernest, Theodore Percival, Neils Ferdinand, Ludolph Cecilius & Archibald Digby.

Description

Arrived Launceston 20/2/1857 on the MONARCH - was part of a Church funded immigartion program for single women.

It is thought that Eliza met William and Eliza Faulkner in Launceston Tasmania -Three of their daughters Jessie, Alice and Eliza Agnes moved to Victoria and married three siblings from Ferdinand Rutzou and Eliza Kemp
