Champion sculler of the world from 1876 to 1880.

Born Woolwich Dock, NSW 1851. Died at Uralla.

A man justly honoured by all who knew him as a noble type of sportsman and an equally noble type of citizen. First Australian to win a World's Championship.

Erect by his friends and admirers.

The original marble memorial is on display at McCrossin's Mill Museum, Uralla, with kind permission of Edward Trickett's descendants.
