Colonel Fletcher is Martha's 2nd husband and she is buried in his lot

Samuel and Mary were buried together. Their grave markers were completely destroyed during the Civil War 1861-1865

This monument and other markers in this lot destroyed by the heavy bombardment by the union army's artillery during the siege of Petersburg 1864-1865. the longest diege of any american city in the history of our country. Restored to its present condition by Garland Routh Barksdale grandson and his sons Edward Marcellus Barksdale, IV, Abraham Bruner Barksdale April 1964
