Journalist. Started out as a reporter for the Allentown paper called "The Critic". A year later the name of the paper was changed to "The Morning Call". David and his brother Samuel purchased their first shares. After 9 years of stock buyouts and gathering subscribers, they owned the paper. In 1920 they sold it to Gen. Harry C. Trexler interests. Trexler died in 1933. David Miller returned to the paper in 1934. He was president of the "Call-Chronicle" newspapers from 1951 until his death in 1958 at the age of 88. The newspaper is now owned by the Tribune Company.
