His only son, Francis did not survive.

He had three daughters: Charlotte, Elizabeth and Diana.

He had unshakeable faith in his friends, and an elegance of manners,

Dear to everyone everywhere.

He died in this city on the 23rd of February in the year 1714.

Colonel Charles Godfrey (1646 – 23 February 1714) was an English Army officer, courtier and Whig politician who sat in the English and British House of Commons for 22 years between 1689 and 1713.
