**ALMOND...Mr. A B Holcomb died at his home April 21, 1888. He was born in Lawrence county New York, Oct 22, 1810. When quite young he moved with his parents to Ohio where he received his education, and was married. "From Ohio to Illinois they emigrated in 1836. In 1848 they crossed the plains settling on his farm in 1849. ( [NOTE]----- Eva and Lula were granddaughters of Almond and Nancy)---- **EVA...Oregon City Enterprise, 21 Feb 1896: "The many friends of Mrs Eva Horn (nee Holcomb) paid their respects by assisting at the sad rites performed for her on earth. She has been at the Samaritan hospital in Portland for the past ten months. Deceased was only 26 years old. She was laid to rest in Logan cemetery. Relatives have the sympathy of all." **LULA...Enterprise Courier, 31 Dec 1969: Lula Jesse Miller, 83, died Tuesday in Jackson, Cal. following a long illness. Burial in Logan Cemetery. Born in Oregon City on Feb 2, 1886, Mrs Miller lived in this area until moving to Plymouth, Cal. five years ago to make her home with a granddaughter.
