Waldau Cemetery is a Lutheran Cemetery on Waldau Hill and comprised two adjacent blocks of land originally purchased for 10/- and £4 respectively. The registered Trustees of the cemetery included Gottlieb and Gottfried Thiele, Carl Aumann and Johann Finger. It is located in the grounds of Schramm's Cottage where about 150 burials took place between 1854 and 1888. Almost two thirds of all burials in the cemetery were children. During the years of Second World War anti-German feeling was prevalent and most of the tombstones were vandalised or destroyed. In recent years the Doncaster Templestowe Historical Society has carried out a project marking all of the grave sites in the cemetery. Some of the headstones have also been repaired by family descendants.
