Significant parts of the cemetery have been allowed to become more natural in style & nature. A wild flower meadow has been created to the south side of the cemetery an area which was previously grassed & had to be maintained & cut. The members sowing the seed on one very-very wet evening in 2007. To the west side of the cemetery there is the woodland burial area, this has also has to a large extent been allowed to return to nature (some maintenance) allowing growth of nettles, cornflower, corn poppy, corn marigold, corn chamomile, red campion, wild carrot, meadow buttercup, ox-eye daisy, lesser knapweed & teasel again to encourage wildlife. Also here and elsewhere in the cemetery there are bird boxes nesting and roosting, bat boxes, hedgehog ‘hotels’, insect specific habitats & log piles.
