Also known as Batsto-Pleasant Mills UMC Cemetery and Pleasant Mills Methodist Churchyard. The Batsto-Pleasant Mills United Methodist Church adjacent to Batsto Village was erected in 1808, on the site of a much older church. Community members, Richards family members, Batsto workers and their families came here to worship, for weddings, and for funerals. Today the church has a very active congregation, and the church cemetery is the final resting place for generations of community members. The oldest headstone in the cemetery is that of Benjamin Peck dated 1732. my parents Charles and Ida Cantermen are buried there along with his mother and step father. R. Cantermen
