Keller's Chapel Cemetery is located south of Jonesboro. It is situated one mile south of the highway 63 Bypass which goes around Jonesboro. From the Bypass, go south on Highway 49 about 1.1 miles to the Mount Carmel Church. Turn right at the church onto Keller's Chapel Road, approximately .6 miles to the entrance of the cemetery. Many pioneer settlers are interred there. There are veterans from the Civil War, Spanish-American War, World Wars I & II, Korean Conflict, Vietnam War and possibly others. Prominent names such as Keller, Wimpy, Findley, Wood and Covington have a large number of family members there. According to data found on stones, the earliest burial was around 1859 when J.W. Keller was buried. The oldest person buried there was William Murphy Loudermilk, who was the last living veteran of the CSA. He served in the Arkansas Confederacy as a private in the North Carolina Cavalry, and passed from this life at 105 years of Age. His wife died at the age of 99 years in 1964.
