The dedication of the Cemetery took place on February 4th, 1876. The first recorded burial occurred in 1889, with the final one taking place in 1954. Although the Cemetery is quite sizable and has sections allocated for different religious denominations, only the Wesleyan and Presbyterian portions were utilized. Situated 400 meters to the East of the cemetery, the 1868 Wesleyan Church still stands today, currently serving as a Bed & Breakfast establishment. In 1983, a portion of the unused Anglican section was transferred to the Rural Fire Service. Regrettably, the cemetery has received little to no maintenance over the years, resulting in the encroachment of the surrounding bushland slowly reclaiming the area.
